Consumed at a cool room temperature, this white Burgundy was still in ideal condition. It was opened and poured quickly in case its age would cause it to fade quickly: it didn’t.

I always suggest drinking white Burgundy from five years old and up to twenty,  if well stored. But this 42 year-old example showed mineral and floral notes laced with hints of honey, caramel and some smoky aromas. It was quite an experience.  and well worth the wait.

In Vino Veritas.
