The 21 year old,  1994 Italian white wine, from Livon,  Vasali Godia Verduzzo Friulano is 12% alcohol and scored 16+ points on the 20-point Dionysian scale.

Costing around $16, the wine pairs well with Italian dishes sans tomatoes. This example comes from the Casali Godia vineyard in Northern Italy,  in Colli Oriental del Friuli,  a region that produces the best examples of this ancient grape.

Friulano is a very old grape and is grown in very few Italian regions. This sample was one of  just 5,000 bottles sold in 375ml glass.

For America, the producer had to cover the naked breast on the label and print a special conservative edition.  Most people drink Friulano  wines within 5 years, but this bottle proved that it can age well. In vino veritas.
