Scoring 18 Dionysian points, costing under $40 and with 14% alcohol, the Louis Chez 2010 Pagus Luminis Condrieu white Rhone  showed perfectly.

Orange blossom, hints of honeysuckle and pear were upfront. A classic food wine.

Condrieu has always made a soft Viognier wine with subtle bouquets. It cost less than half the price of Chateau Grillet; bot made with Viognier.

White French Rhone wines are ideal with white meats, turkey and chicken and also with most fish dishes.

Scallops on corn-meal polenta with sautéed spinach paired nicely with the Condrieu.

The name means in French from the Latin “Village of Light” and the area is a flood of sunshine. In vino veritas.
