With a fine 13% alcohol, costing under $10, and scoring a gold 18 Dionysian points on their 20-point scale, the 2011 Albet i Noya Xarello, made with all organic grapes, is a treat.

Xarello is one of the three grapes in Spanish CAVA. By itself, it is filled with refreshing citrus, mineral, wet slate, and white peach pit. With appetizers, and shell fish, the wine is perfect.

The Albt i Noya family are pioneers working with organic viticulture. This is an indigenous white Spanish grape.

Wine like this make warm weather more enjoyable. It’s not a wien for “Label drinkers”; its for dedicated wine lovers.   Note: The “X” in Spanish is pronounced “Ch” , so it’s  cha-rel- low.    In Vino Veritas.
