The 2011 Leese-Fitch Pinot Noir from California has 13.5% alcohol, cost about $15, and scored a nice 15 points on the Dionysian scale. At nine years old, it had cherry, raspberry, and some smokey wood notes. It was mature and pleasant, even if not multidimensional.
This is a bottle “Vinted and bottled by…” meaning they didn’t grow or make the wine. It’s a tribute to their homestead house, but still a pleasant drink. It had a peal twist strip to open the plastic insert stopper. Very easy and interesting. Not a wine to age. In Vino Veritas.
