The 14.5% alcohol, the under $25 cost, and a Dionysian score of 17+ out of 20, makes this 2012 Kenwood Cabernet Sauvignon from the Jack London Vineyard on Sonoma Mountain a smart buy. It’s only five years old and showing well. I don’t expect it to age like Bordeaux, but it will go another five years.

This wine reminds me of Jack London’s “Call of the Wild” because I want venison stakes with it.

Smooth, soft tannins, and black fruits of black cherry and some blueberry make this an easy drinking wine to share before or during a meal.  In Vino Veritas.
