Bottled by Cantina Tramin of Termeno, Italy,  the 2013 Nussbaumer Gewurztraminer from Sudtirol – Alto Adige in Northern Italy.  This 15% alcohol white spicy wine handles the extra alcohol well. I tend to ignore wines with over 14.6% alcohol.

This 18+ wine rated on the Dionysian 20-point scale, is the best Gewurztraminer I’ve had in years. It’s made in Tramin in Alto Adige and vinified totally dry in stainless steel. It is fragrant with rose, tangerine, spice and cinnamon on the nose with a long clean aftertaste.

Costing close to $30 a bottle, it is well worth it and a wine to enjoy with special meals. In vino veritas.

This Italian Gewurztraminer beats most of the examples from Alsace, France. I suggest you seek it out and try it now.
