With 12.7% alcohol, this Colts Neck, New Jersey Chardonnay from the 2014 Four J G’s Vineyard, at 15 years old held together. It cost under $15 then, and scored 14+ points on the Dionysian scale. It was not over oaked; it’s starting to show the nuttiness of ever so slight materization, and had medium weight.

The deep gold shows its age. The wine was balanced. Nice job.

I never thought the wine would age over ten years, but the natural acids held it together.

This was more of an experiment than a cellared wine to share on a special occasion. However, it proves that New Jersey can produce some very interesting wines.  In Vino Veritas.
