With low alcohol, no overpowering oak, and costing under $20, the 2014 Horse Heaven Hill Chardonnay  from Columbia Crest in Washington State is an American Chardonnay you can enjoy with food. It scored 18 gold medal points on the 20-point Dionysian scale from all six people judging it.

Balanced acid with apple, pear and white Burgundy-like mouth feel makes the H-3 (Horse Heaven Hills) a must buy.

The wine fills the mouth up front, mid-mouth too,  and is strong on the back-palate making the H-3 Chardonnay a wine to use with nearly every chicken dish you ever make. That means at least a bottle a week.

The Dionysian Society International  featured this wine at their Horseshoe Championships, and it was considered the “Wine of the Day” by all the five dozen guests. In Vino Veritas.
