A white with 13.5% alcohol, scoring 15+ points on the Dionysian scale of 20, and costing under $15, the 2015 Colli Di Lapio Fiano Di Avellino is a most enjoyable summer wine! Floral and clean, it’s good with fish, chicken, or light cheese dishes. I use it also as a Reception wine if not using sparkling wine.

An Italian white with floral notes and minerality to clear your palate. It’s a favorite of all Dionysian members. Great with most Italian opening courses.

Fiano is grown in a number of places, but the best seems to come from Avellino.

Colli di Lapio means the “Hills of Fiano”. Only 8,000 bottles are produced a year, but we get plenty in the States.  In Vino Veritas.
