The multi-vintage of Demiere A & J Champagne Solera 23 has 12 % alcohol, cost about $45, is an RM Champagne, and scored 17 Dionysian points out of 20.

What is so unique and special about this wine is the  French bread, toasty, and nutty lingering flavors, is the fact that the wine is made from 100% Pinot Meunier grapes. The latest trend is to call the grape just Meunier.  This is a very nice Champagne, just very hard to find.

Most Champagnes use some Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and add just a part of Meunier, so the flavor, not the aroma, seems to be more food-worthy.

Nothing make a meal better than starting with sparkling wine and Champagne is still the best sparkling wine you can find.  The A & J Demiere has a tiny bead of bubbles that bring the aromas up to your nose. This is a Champagne to compete with the best of them all.   In Vino Veritas.
