The multi-vintage Lelarge-Pugeot Brut Rose Champagne from Vrigny, France scored 18 points on the Dionysian scale of a possible 20. Its 12% alcohol is perfect, and it cost just over $40.
It was served with salted Spanish almonds at the start of a Wednesday meal. The tiny bubbles, copper-salmon color and subtle fruit aromas, proved the Lelarge-Pugeot a “must buy” for Champagne lovers. In vino veritas.
