Table Wine, as it says on their label, is permitted a range of alcohol content, usually 11 to 14 percent. I’m guessing this wine to be in the 13.8%,  and well below the 14.5% that I see as the limit for aging wines well. This $30 bottle scored 16 Dionysian points and at 24 years old, it proves that well made wines, with restricted alcohol levels,  can age nicely.

The 1991 Michel-Schlumberger Cabernet Sauvignon from Dry Creek in Sonoma County, California was a Reserve and it was shared by Dionysian Tastevin Member, Joseph Ardito, to match with his venison steak dinner. It worked well!  In vino veritas.

The wine was filled with smoke and black fruit notes. It was at peak and paired well with the game dinner.
