Vigna Dogarina 2004  is an Italian red wine from the Veneto region. Its 12.5% alcohol is ideal with meals. The area, inland from Venice, is known for its white Soave wine  and two reds: Valpolicella and Bordolino, but this Rosso seems to be a Cabernet and Merlot blend instead of the usual Italian grapes.

It paired very well with a simple pasta dish laced lightly with tomato sauce.

It was fully mature as 11 years old and finished with a soft  earthy flavor. Hints of black fruits still lingered behind the forest floor and smoke aroma. It scored a solid 15 on the Dionysian 20-point scale. They were just as enjoyable when they were younger. In vino veritas.
