Beaujolais is a fun drink; usually savored without a lot of contemplation, but the 2015 Chateau de Saint-Amour Beaujolais scored 17+ points. It cost under $19 and  had 14% alcohol. As one of the ten Grand Cru Beaujolais, the Saint Amour is right in the middle between the lightest fruity ones, and the Morgon style of bigger, heavy long aging Beaujolais.

Perfect with a burger of roasted duck. It’s a pleasant food-wine as well as a party wine to pair with finger foods. Lots pf blueberry and smoke on its nose with rounded soft tannins.

It is imported by Quintessential, and they bring in an outstanding line of wines from al around the world. This 2015 Grand Cru Beaujolais is still young, and can age easily for another 5 to 9 years. The Gamay grape was ripe. It was mouth-filling and balanced. Get some.  In Vino Veritas.
