Lucien Albrecht makes a Crémant D’Alsace Brut Rosé from 100% Pinot Noir. Of course it’s made in the “Methode Traditionnelle” method. All sparkling wines made in Alsace cost less than those made in the Champagne region of France so it is a really good buy. I calculated 16.5 points on the 20 point-scale used by the Dionysian Society which permits 7 points for aroma and 5 points for taste & texture.
It was a surprise invitation to dinner yesterday on the coldest day of the year. My wife quickly roasted and spiced Garbanzo Beans (Chick Peas) to match with this charming and very easy to drink Brut. I enjoy all the wines Lucien Albrecht makes and this sparkling Rosé is one of his best.
We drove to our friend’s house over snow-covered roads, through blizzard winds and quickly opened and enjoyed the Cremant D’Alsace with the herb-spiced beans. Other wines followed with the meal, but the Brut Rosé was the focal point of discussion. In vino veritas.

Think I will try this; I am not a big red wine drinker; prefer white wines, and rose. Thanks for the recommendation.
