With 16.5% alcohol, and costing under $35, the Maury Tuile 10 ANS D’AGE is the perfect dessert wine and it scored 19 points on the Dionysian scale of a possible 20. It’s a Vin Doux Naturel, or naturally sweet wine  made by Marjorie & Stephane Gallet.

Dionysian Sharyn Kervyn introduced me to this wine, and I found it as, or more, charming than many Oporto. Sooth as silk and a long clean aftertaste make it a great dessert wine.

Plum and raisin aromas blend with spicy notes. It’s garnet colored, not inky red. With chocolate, this wine is heavenly. Made with at least 75% Grenache noir and grown in slopes of schist & slate, the wines was first made in 1936 in the Roussillon region of France. It is quite similar to Banyals,

After  opening, it can last for weeks.  It will be a future Dionysian Mystery Meal selection. In Vino Veritas.
