Made with the pinkish Greek grape, Moshofilero, the 2001 Meliasto Spiropoulos, with 11.5% alcohol, scored a fine 15 Dionysian points from their 20-point scale.  I seldom keep Rose more than five years, but at at 15 years old, this Greek Rose was charming.

This Rose is Organically grown in the Peloponnese region of Greece.. It was pink rose in color.

The wine paired well with pork, and the hot weather the East Coast has been having.  The vineyard is nearly 2,000 feel high and produces delightful food wines in the cool air.

Grilled tender loin of pork, broccoli and cous-cous helped showoff the mature flavors of this old Greek Rose. Simple meals can be an adventure with the right wines.
