Scoring 19 Dionysian points on its 20-point scale, the 2004 Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Champagne from Epernay, Champagne, France is worth its $150 price.

We use this wine (The PJ) for Dionysian Skeet Shoots with tiny finger foods and it makes the outdoors just seem fresher than normal; strick rules have to be followed when drinking Champagne and shooting skeet.

I usually savor the Non-vintage PJ Champagne, but once in a while, when you wonder if there’s any Champagne in heaven, you just have to go for the Belle Epoque’s tiny bead, French Bread aromas, and its long-clean refreshing taste.

In Vino Veritas.
