I always enjoy the Greek Wines from Nemea. This 2009 Harlaftis Nemea Family Tradition and one of their V.D.Q.S. wines has 13% alcohol, cost under $15, and scored a fine 16 points on the Dionysian scale of a possible 20.

Ripe red fruits show with an herbal note too. Smooth and easy to drink, the Nemea is a great food wine.

Served with a red meat pasta, this wine is good with poultry too.

The red Nemea Greek wines have been served at Dionysian Gathering for nearly two decades at their opening dinners. Always a treat. In Vino Veritas.
