The 13.5% alcohol in the Chardonnay was fine. This Vin de Pays D’Oc, a basic country wine, was originally a straw yellow, but is now a golden yellow. Laroche 2010 Chardonnay de la Chevaliere had aromas of peach and citrus and was supple with a medium finish.

It cost under $10 and was rated 15 points on the Dionysian 20-point  scale. It was a simple, easy drinking food wine and well worth the money. I’m happy to see Laroche use a twist off cap. Serve with seafood or white meats. I had halibut.

It has peaked at five years old and I’ll finish my remaining bottles this spring.  In vino veritas.
