The 2012 Joseph Carr Josh , from Sonoma, cost About $20, has 13.9% alcohol (I think it’s higher; 14.4 at least is my guess) and scored a fine 15 points on the 20-point Dionysian scale. A Bronze winner. It has Cabernet flavors and is soft enough to enjoy, but little complexity.

A nice party red. Too jammy for most fine food, but with a heavy cheese dish, it can work.

At seven years old, it is peaking, but should go a few more years. It was made for youthful taste who want big fruity and very soft tannins. I would not lay away any to cellar.  In Vino Veritas.
