The 2014 Barton & Guestier Cotes du Rhone cost under $17, has 13.5% alcohol, and scored a fine 15 Dionysian points from their scale of 20.
It’s a blend of Syrah and Grenache grapes grown in southern France, and is a very good food wine. With plenty of fruit on the nose, and soft the tannins make it an easy drink.

The B & G line of everyday drinking French wines is making a big come-back after some years of falling behind from their once famous line of top quality wines.
The wine will easily satisfy everyone’s desire for an everyday red to pair with basic dishes. In vino veritas.
