The 2014 De Angelis Rosso Piceno Superiore  has 13% alcohol, cost about $15, and scored 16 points on the Dionysian scale of a possible 20.

Ruby red, light cherry notes, and perfectly balanced, this Italian dinner wine from the Marche Region is mostly Montepulciano and some Sangiovese.

At five years old, the wien is ready, but it can cellar for another five years. It’s ideal for all Italian dishes.

Piceno is the local name for the Montepulciano grown mostly along the Adriatic coastal regions.  Dionysian Frank Aquilino first introduced me to this one.  Now’s the time to seek out different wines.  In Vino Veritas.
