With 13.5% alcohol, the six year old 2014 Vento Vermentino Toscana scored 16 delightful points on the Dionysian scale of a possible 20. This is a great food white wine, ideal for fish to chicken. I enjoy a lot of different Vermentino wines.

I do not like vintage dates on the back side of labels I must note, but aside from that, the Vento reflected mineral and citrus flavors. It filled the entire mouth front to back.

It was served a combination of cod and flounder. It married well and made the winter meal a special treat.

The grapes making this wine were grown on a hill overlooking the sea. That explains the subtle sea-air-saltiness on the finish. In Vino Veritas.
