With 14.5 % alcohol, costing $33, the 2015 Chateau Laplagnotte-Bellevue Saint-Emilion Grand Cru scored 16+/17- points of the Dionysian scale of 20.

2015 Bordeaux are “must have” wines. As good as the 2010’s. Even the lesser known wines will age a decade or more.

This one is 74% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc and all organic. It will mature for two decades and soften.

Tasted with Dr. Pavlis at the Jersey City Bordeaux tasting, then again with John Gartland, served with cheese and olives, the wine’s score went up.

It already has ripe tannins, black fruits keying on blueberry. I teach that you should buy the better vintages and start drinking them at 10 old.  This wine has medium weight, and a long finish, but it’s a baby. In Vino Veritas.
