With 13.5% alcohol, the 2015 L 10 Malbec from Bianchi of San Rafael, Mendoza cost under $20 and scored a very nice 16 Dionysian points. It had black fruits, plum, hints of oak and cinnamon spices.

It’s coming into its peak but will hold together nicely for another decade. It’s still deep dark garnet. A great food wine.

Served with a big stick steak like they do in Argentina.

If you enjoy red meats, this is a wine to look for and savor with your indoor and outdoor meals. The tannins are soft and refined. The wine is well made and balanced in your mouth. Enjoy one. In Vino Veritas.
