With an excellent 12% alcohol, costing under $10, the 2020 Cielo Rose is fruity with hints of strawberry, crisp acidity, and is fine summer first course wine. It’s Pinot Grigio, which has a pinkish skin. The color comes form juice contact with the grape skins.

Served with a shrimp pasta salad, the wine was delightful.

Here is an Italian Rose I can drink and enjoy. I go mostly to Provence in France for Rose’, but they’ve gotten highly over-priced. I feel many Rose’ wines will work with food as long as they are completely dry. Pinot Noir Rose’ wines seldom satisfy this need. In Vino Veritas.
