The 2013 Colonie Torrontes has 13.5% alcohol, scored 15 Dionysian points out of 20 and cost about $10.
The wine comes from the Calchaqui Valley in Salta, Argentina. It’s citrus notes are blended with mineeral overtones. Ideal for Asian sushi, sea food,veggies and white meats. It’s a high acid wine.

The grapes are reduced to about 5 tons per acre and grown between 1,700 and 3,100 feet high in the Salta mountainous dessert where they ripen slowly to make excellent food wines.
It’s imported by the Hess Collection Winery of Napa, California. It’s a white food wine for early drinking, but it can age at least six years. In vino veritas.
