With 13% alcohol, the 2012 Condes de Albarei Albarino from  the Rias Baixas region of Spain scored 16 points on the Dionysian scale and cost under $15.

Perfect with shellfish, hard cheese, and fish. I’d rather Albarino wines than Pinot Grigio any time.

I usually drink Albarino wines young, but at seven years old, it’s at peak. It has citrus notes over mineral. It is refreshing and easy to drink. It was deeper gold in color than new releases. People who like Sauvignon Blancs always enjoy Albarino wines. Try this one. In Vino Veritas.
