The 2015 Galerie Naissance Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley has 13.5% alcohol, cost below $20, and scored 15+ points on the 20-point Dionysian scale. It had some pink grapefruit, but subdued. Nothing like Sancerre at all. The acid seemed to have been added and not bonded together; just a guess. Enjoyable enough for 15 points, but not like classic Sauvignon Blanc.

It’s a nice quaffing wine, but hard to pair with traditional S.B. dishes. Try one yourself and see what I mean. In Vino Veritas.
