At 12% alcohol, costing under $20, and scoring 16+ points, the multi-vintage Cremant de Bourgogne from Albert Bichot Brut Reserve is a must for drinking sparkling wines more often.

Made just like Champagne, but it comes from Burgundy, not the Champagne area. It has enough Pinot Noir to show a cherry note mixed with fizz and toast. The color was deeper than my camera caught. Yellow straw.

We use it as a dinner wine with a meal of roast chicken and vegetables. Worked very well.

Cremant is a style; Crement is a place. Sparkling Burgundy is always refreshing and can fill the gap for excessively expensive Champagne. Seek them out. In Vino Veritas.
