This 12% alcohol sparkling wine from Childress Vineyards Blanc de Blanc Brut called Victory Cuvee comes from Lexington, North Carolina. Made from Chardonnay, it scored 14+ on the Dionysian Scale of 20 points meaning it is a simple, and easy drinking bubbly for receptions.

It’s owned by the famous eponymous Nascar driver and therefore the name, “Victory Lane.” It seems to have very little toasty notes but finishes cleanly.  Any sparkling wine around $25  is a buy.

It was drunk with a variety of appetizers with the Ardito’s and Perugini’s at a new BYOB in New Jersey.  In vino veritas.
