Costing under $30, with 12% alcohol, and scoring 17 points on the 20-point Dionysian scale, the NV Simonnet-Febvre Cremant de Bourgogne Brut was excellent. It’s not only a good buy, it fills every need you have for sparkling wine.
It’s made the same way classic Champagne is made, but it comes from Chablis, in Burgundy. The more it warms, the more fruit shows, and like all Cremant sparkling wines, it has less pressure than regular Champagne and is more creamy.
They’ve been making this since 1840 so they have it down perfectly. Start every meal with bubbles. Cremant with an (A) is a style of sparkling wine, Crement with and (E) is a place. IN Vino Veritas.
