Remarkable at 15 years old, the 2004 Nyakas Cellars Budajenoi Pinot Gris Reserve from the Buda Region of Hungary has 13.65% alcohol. Still fresh with mineral notes and citrus aromas, the wine aged well. Note how specific they are with alcohol. It was perfect with a chicken dinner.
Dry wines form Hungary are rare in the USA, but well worth the search. The cellar aging added a complexity to this simple white that you seldom experience. Remarkable!
