At 17 points on the Dionysian scale of 20, the 2015 Maison Louis Latour Santenay has 13% alcohol, and cost under $24. Latour is in Beaune in the Cote-D’Or, in Burgundy. Their entire line is excellent.

Still young, this Burgundy shows cherry-loaded Pinot Noir. It continued to open for nearly an hour after serving.

At just four years old, the wine shows great potential with clean Pinot Noir fruit upfront and a long clean aftertaste.

I will age the remainder of the case for another five years. The 2015’s show deep concentration and I expect them to develop more earthy complexity. Santenay has become more well known over the past decade and their prices are climbing. In Vino Veritas.
