This 15% alcohol Greek wine is for rabbit, game and herbed dishes. It cleaned bread dipped in Greek olive oil off the palate. The 2010 Emphasis Syrah is made at Ktima Pavlidis Winery in Drama, Northern Greece.

It received 16 points on the 20-point Dionysian scale and showed a well balanced wine with modern western flavors.  The wines spent 14 months in new and one year old oak.

The garnet-colored red wine was filled with pepper and black raspberry aromas. It cost 18 Euros, still under twenty dollars, and was well worth it. In vino veritas.
