This 13% alcohol Greek Rose scored 17 points on the Dionysian scale of 20 possible points. It was pink-salmon,  a coral color, with aromas of flowers and young red fruits like bing cherry and unripe strawberry.

The 2014 Amethystos, made by Domaine Costa Lazaridi,  is a new world styled wine. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon 80% and 20% Merlot, this Rosa is perfectly balanced and perfect for summer meals.

Costing 12 Euros, or $13 a bottle, the wines was completely dry and went well with all the food items I paired with it.   In vino veritas.

Trying wines with different foods helps you understand why “wine is food” and how both can change the taste of each other. Wine makes food better and food can highlight a good wine.
