The 2013 Donnachiara Greco Di Tufo from Montefalcione cost about $10, scored 15 Dionysian Points out of 20 and is a wine that can age a bit even though most people drink them as soon as they get them.

It paired superbly with chicken, sauerkraut and, a small portion of pulled pork.

Made with 100% Greco grapes grown on clay and tufo stones, this wine was harvested late in October and it works with herb cheese, white meats, all seafoods ,and pasta dishes with light sauces.

The grape was brought to Italy by the Greeks, hence the name, and it grows south of Rome in the Avellino area. At 13% alcohol, its pear, pineapple, and minerality leave a fresh, long-lasting finish. In vino veritas.

The 2013 Greco drink well on release but can age at least five years.
