A five year old Rose’ with 13% alcohol that cost about $9.99 scored 16 points on the Dionysian scale of 20.

The 2015 Vega Sindoa Granacha Rose’ was made on the foothills of the Pyrennes in the region of Navarra, The fresh strawberry notes changed to bing cherry, and the age increased additional spices to the taste.

I’ve enjoyed this Rose’ each summer for years all from the newest vintage. I saved this one from 2015, to see what developed.

The added complexities will always show better in cooler weather, and nearly every Rose’ should be consumed young. This is 100% Garnacha, same grape that makes Rose’ from Provence so delightful, but Spanish styles are fuller and can enhance heavier dishes. In Vino Veritas.
