The 2015 Cascinetta Vietti Moscato d’Asti at 5%alcohol was the perfect way to end the evening meal. It scored 17+ Dionysian points, cost under $18 and comes from one of northern Italy’s greatest wine families: Vietti.

Served with an Italian cheesecake topped with peaches, the wine kissed the palate with each sip and refreshed it so the next forkful was exciting as the first one was.

Filled with white peach aroma, the wine was soft and fresh. It could have been a dessert in itself and will be the next time I open one.

In Vino Veritas.
