With 12% alcohol, the 2017 Dr. Konstantin Frank Brut from the Finger Lakes scored 16+ points on the Dionysian scale of 20. It cost under $40 and was Disgorged in January of 2021 leaving a French-like toasty aroma. It was balanced with good acidity and ideal before or with food.

Served prior to a seafood dinner with green olives and potato chips.

It’s made from 55% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier.

It is a “Methode Champenoise” made sparkling wine and is a treat for the cost. You would guess it was French in a blind tasting. In Vino Veritas.
