The 2019 Barboursville Fiano Reserve from Virgina has 13% alcohol and scored 17 points on the Dionysian Scale of 20. Made from the ancient Italian grape, Fiano, the wine projected citrus, white peach and orange rind. It filled the mouth. It cost near $29.
The winery is owned by an Italian wine company and is located near Horton. The wine is fermented in stainless-steel and finished with an herbal note. Fiano is grown south of Rome and was a favorite of the Roman emperors. Find one. In Vino Veritas.
