Costing under $75, scoring 18+ Dionysian points, and with 12.5% alcohol, the 2009 Cuvee Lystandre Blanc de Meunier Demiere Champagne, was a treat.
Made from 100% Pinot Meunier, with no Chardonnay, nor Pinot Noir, this French sparkling wine from Champagne has a fuller body, and its toasty finish helped lead us into the next wine with the meal.

It is an “Extra Brut”, super dry and refreshing with no sugar added. It’s from Fleury in Champagne, and was bottle number 315 of a total of 5,923 bottles.
My wife and son really enjoyed it prior to dinner; tasted with olives and almonds. Basic is always best. In Vino Veritas.

Dionysians know color, background music, lighting and a respect for civilization all matters while trying our best to live better.
