Toasty, showing wood notes, and mouth-filling flavors of herbal-citrus, the Multi-Vintage Bollinger Special Cuvee Champagne Brut has 12% alcohol, scored 19 Dionysian points, and cost about $75.

Bollinger is a food Champagne, and since 1829, it has been one of the biggest, heaviest, French Champagnes. It’s tiny bead of bubbles shows that it sleeps on the yeast longer than average.

The wine has been a British favorite forever. It is one of the heaviest Champagnes,  and always needs food to enjoy it. It should always be drunk after other lighter Champagnes are consumed.

A wine like this is for special pre-meals activities and special occasions. The Pinot Noir always shows in the Chardonnay blend.  In Vino Veritas.  A Toast to you all who read my new novel, “A Quart Jar of Peaches,” from Amazon.com and drink some wine while reading.
