Scoring 17+ points with just 14% alcohol, this Domaine Jomain 2011 Puligny-Montrachet white Burgundy was the perfect Chardonnay for the cod dinner.

When Chardonnay is not over-oaked, it is a great food wine with soft buttery notes over apple and pear. Costing just over $40, it is a wine that makes any meal special. It’s still young at four years and can age another 10 at least in a cool, dark cellar.
