This French Champagne House also makes sparkling wine in New Mexico. The Gruet Blanc de Noir, cost about $20, scored 17 points on the Dionysian scale of 20 and has 12% alcohol. It’s a must for making any evening meal into a special occasion.

Sparkling wines are ideal with an appetizer course: orange-pear tomato, blue cheese on a cracker and some cheddar and wine crackers.
