The 2014 Sauvignon Blanc from Prophecy in  the Marlborough region of New Zealand is atypical of New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. It scored 16 points (not 14 as most SB’s from that area are scored)  on the Dionysian scale of a possible 20. It cost $10. It has natural SB aromas and leans more toward the Northern California style.

A perfect summer Sauvignon Blanc.

This is a food wine; excellent right now and I won’t cellar them very long. Subtle grapefruit and lots of mineral notes, Light weight with a medium finish as it coats the entire palate. In vino veritas.
