Bodega del Desierto means Wintery of the Desert. It’s in the isolated town of  25 de Mayo, La Pampa province. Hence the name.

As nice as any red French Burgundy I’ve had all year for one-tenth the money. The label shows the desert around the entire area.

Cherry and subtle spices fill the aroma. It is balanced with fruit and acidity and has a long aftertaste.  It was perfect with salmon. The wine was very young, but the hint of oak made it a food wine. I think it will age a decade easily. In Vino Veritas.
