This is a bigger medium-bodied red dinner wine and will improve with age. It’s still young.

The 2015 Paolo Manzone Barbara D’Alba Fiorenza Superiore  has 14% alcohol, cost under $20, and scored 16+ points on the 20-point Dionysian Scale.

The Fiorenza comes from the town of Alba, in the Piedmont of northern Italy. Dark fruits and smoky notes make it a fine food wine. Many people drink their Barbara wines while they wait for their Barolo bottles to perfectly age. I age both Barbara and Barolo. This will will hold for a decade.  In Vino Veritas.
